I am an award-winning journalist currently based in Syracuse, New York. I was trained to honor "old school" reporting standards while also mastering tools made available by modern technology. My career began at Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard as a Breaking News Reporter in June 2021. Over the course of my career I have covered a wide array of topics with a focus on crime and law.

I have covered numerous high profile criminal trials, broke news of influential civil actions and highlighted police reforms. As my career progressed I learned the ins and outs of the New York Court system and established a specialize beat. I have a mastery of the fast paced nature of breaking news. Later I refined long form features and investigations.
I graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Journalism from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. I cut my teeth as a reporter covering student demonstrations in 2019 and 2020. I then led fellow journalism students to cover the larger and more explosive protests in Rochester, New York, over the death of Daniel Prude.
I have experience covering a variety of other topics including politics, culture and profiles. My skills as a photographer, videographer, and digital producer allows me to report, create and promote compelling packages even when I do not have the luxury of working with a team. I have also built a network of sources in the legal community, government and law enforcement throughout Central New York.
